ObsidianPlay is built with an offline-first and privacy-first architecture. Your game library, custom lists, ratings, and play history are stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

• Local Library Data: Games you add, completion statuses (Playing, Backlog, Completed, Dropped), ratings, and personal notes are stored locally in an encrypted/private SQLite database on your device.
• Social Sharing Queries: When you share video links or text from apps like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, or Reddit, the text is processed entirely on your device to parse the game title. We do not store or transmit your browsing history or social media credentials.
• Anonymous Diagnostics: We may collect non-identifiable technical diagnostic information (such as crash reports or app version) to ensure stability.

3. Third-Party Services & APIs

ObsidianPlay integrates with trusted third-party providers strictly to provide app functionality:

• IGDB (Internet Game Database): Used to search game metadata, release dates, genres, and high-resolution cover artwork. Only search queries (e.g. game titles) are sent over encrypted HTTPS.
• Google Play Billing / RevenueCat / Apple In-App Purchase: Handles secure subscription payments. We never store or have access to your credit card or financial details.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your library data resides on your device, you have complete control over your information. You can delete individual games or clear all data by uninstalling the application or clearing application storage.

5. Children's Privacy

ObsidianPlay does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The app is a general-audience video game tracking utility.
